By attending the seminar, participants can earn three free CE credits, and come away with a better understanding of how to compare and evaluate health insurance plans. The language of health insurance will be demystified. Terms such as deductible, co-pays and co-insurance, and true out-of-pocket costs will be explained, and different types of networks will be discussed. Of course, updates to health insurance plans will be discussed, and the differences between commercial health plans and the MDA Health Plan will be highlighted. Time will be provided for detailed questions and answers or to provide additional clarification on topics addressed.

Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of health insurance, what every commercial health plan must cover, the differences between individual and group plans, and why the MDA Health Plan can provide better and less costly coverage than other group plans. All seminars begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon unless otherwise indicated. The seminar will be offered at four locations around the state, so register for the one that is most conveniently located to you.

This seminar is appropriate for doctors as well as the entire dental team, whether you’re in the MDA Health Plan, in an individual or small group plan, or are contemplating the right choice for you.

Issues about Medicare will not be discussed during the presentation. For Medicare seminars, see mdaprograms.com.
