Foundation Awards $72,500 in Grants in 2017

The MDA Foundation has awarded $72,500 in access-to-care grants in 2017 to nine charitable organizations across the state. The recipients include:

  • St. Vincent de Paul Society in Detroit ($10,000);
  • Muskegon Community Health ($10,000);
  • VINA Dental Clinic, Brighton ($10,000);
  • Special Olympics, Mt. Pleasant ($10,000);
  • Care Free Dental & Medical Clinic, Lansing ($10,000);
  • Hope Clinic, Ypsilanti ($7,500);
  • MDA Donated Dental Services, Okemos ($5,000);
  • Mel Trotter Ministries, Grand Rapids ($5,000); and
  • Motor City Medical Clinic, Detroit ($5,000).

The Michigan Dental Association Foundation is supporting Michigan residents’ quality of life through improved dental health by helping to fund educational programs and services focused on the states most vulnerable; the uninsured and underinsured, working poor and elderly. The Foundation also provides scholarships for students interested in pursuing careers in dentistry.
