Foundation Awards $131,570 in Grants in 2019

The MDA Foundation has awarded $131,570 in access-to-care grants in 2019 to seven charitable organizations across the state. The recipients include:

  • Gary Burnstein Clinic, Pontiac ($30,000 over two years).
  • Helping Hands Dental Center, Midland ($21,000 over three years).
  • Hope Clinic, Ypsilanti ($50,000 over five years).
  • Volunteer for Dental, Muskegon ($10,000).
  • Silver Creek Church, Marquette ($570).
  • Special Olympics, Mt. Pleasant ($10,000).
  • VINA Clinic, Brighton ($10,000).

The Michigan Dental Association Foundation is supporting Michigan residents’ quality of life through improved dental health by helping to fund educational programs and services focused on the states most vulnerable; the uninsured and underinsured, working poor and elderly. The Foundation also provides scholarships for students interested in pursuing careers in dentistry.
