This course will go over the screening and monitoring of potential malignant lesions as well as importance of early detection through the recommended flow chart from the ADA October 2017. Links will be provided for participants to obtain these guidelines directly from the ADA for office use. Review of most common patient symptoms related to oral cancer, both non-HPV and positive HPV. Patient questions regarding medical history that are key in screening for oral cancer will be reviewed.

About the Speaker … Charlotte Cortis Is a 1993 graduate of The University of Detroit with the past 25 years in private practice, mostly, in Lansing, Mich. She has focused her professional growth and education in areas that best fit her patient population in both their systemic and dental health. She has attended numerous HPV Oropharyngeal lectures, symposiums and volunteers with Henry Ford on community oral cancer screenings.
