Reducing wastewater amalgam continues to be an important issue for dentists throughout Michigan, and this topic has recently received increased attention in several communities in our state. As dentists, we are committed not only to public health but also the protection of the environment. And, through the years, the MDA and its members have taken a number of significant steps to minimize the amount of amalgam entering the environment.
