Registered Dental Assistant

Lori Barnhart, CDA, RDA, FADAA, is an enthusiastic speaker who makes learning about dental assisting fun and interactive. Lori is a 1988 graduate of the dental assisting program at Mott Community College and obtained her CDA credential and RDA license in 1988 followed by a degree in applied science in 1989. Lori has served on her local dental assisting society board in Flint since 1989 and has also served three terms as president of the Michigan Dental Assistants Association as well as 6th District trustee and secretary of the American Dental Assistants Association. She is also a Fellow of the American Dental Assistants Association. Lori has worked with the Michigan Board of Dentistry on many legislative efforts over the years including changes to the Public Health Code. She strives to not only increase the utilization of licensed dental assistants, but works diligently to educate dentists and assistants on the law. Lori currently serves as the supply lead for the Michigan Dental Association Foundation Mission or Mercy program, as a committee member on the MDA’s Committee on Continuing Education, and as an RDA representative on the Michigan Board of Dentistry. She also works chairside in the office of Douglas Schneck, DDS, in Flint, and is a contract employee of Complete Mobile Dentistry, which provides necessary dental services for reservists at Michigan military sites.
