Speaker Bio

Sheila Ann Meshinski, RN, has a clinical background primarily in emergency nursing. In the past 15 years she has also practiced as a forensic nurse. During that time she took care of assault victims and worked on several criminal cases using forensic principles. Meshinski became interested in human trafficking victims when she attended a conference presented by the FBI on the topic. Shortly after that she joined the human trafficking task force in Lansing as one of the first health care providers. Her knowledge and experience will provide participants with valuable information that will aid in reducing human trafficking occurrences here in Michigan.
